Being grateful allows us to live better and surrounded ourselves with valuable people that we learn better lessons in everyday life. However, it is not easy to be grateful when we are immersed in our immediate concerns and emotions.

That’s why we suggest these 5 ways to practice gratitude daily in just a few minutes.

1. The colors, smells and everything around you

An excellent exercise to inhabit the present and be grateful is to simply sit and observe everything around you. Concentrate on looking at the beauty of each building around you, on marveling at being able to see the colors, feeling the smells and the textures. All this is enough to be grateful all the time, but it needs to be remembered.

2. Live the intensity of each moment

With living in the present, being grateful is easier when you feel each moment with intensity. For example, enjoy your morning coffee with all your heart. Feel the taste, the smell, the moment you take it. You will see that you will give thanks for every moment that you can appreciate.

3. Remember where you are coming from and where you want to go

If you review the progress you have made throughout your life you will see that you have gone through many moments to be grateful for. For example, on a professional level. How much progress have you made? Congratulate yourself on what you have achieved and think about everything you would like to be in the future.

4. Watch your people

Sometimes we go through life in such a hurry that we don’t stop to remember and observe the people around us and for whom we care. 5. Be generous

There are many opportunities before being generous every day. Help those who need it, share what you have and listen to those who need it. To be generous is to be grateful, and that will help you feel very good about yourself.
